What’s Your Number?

Ally Darling (Anna Faris) is a woman in her early 30s who, after reading a magazine article, becomes concerned about her romantic past. The article suggests that women who have had 20 or more lovers are less likely to get married. Shocked to discover she’s had 19 relationships, Ally decides not to pursue any more and to revisit her ex-boyfriends to see if any of them have changed.

To assist her in this quest, Ally enlists the help of her neighbor and womanizer, Colin Shea (Chris Evans). Colin agrees to help her track down her ex-boyfriends in exchange for using her apartment for his romantic escapades. The two form an unusual friendship as they embark on a journey to revisit Ally’s past relationships.

As Ally revisits her exes, she reflects on her own life choices and the meaning of true love. Throughout their adventures, Ally and Colin develop feelings for each other, but Ally is hesitant to acknowledge her growing attraction.

The climax of the film occurs when Ally must confront her true feelings for Colin and make a decision about her future. In a classic romantic comedy resolution, Ally realizes that true love might have been right in front of her all along.

The film ends with Ally and Colin embracing their feelings for each other, and Ally breaking free from societal expectations about the number of past relationships defining one’s worth.

“What’s Your Number?” explores themes of love, self-discovery, and the societal pressures placed on individuals regarding their romantic histories. The film combines humor with heartfelt moments, and Anna Faris and Chris Evans deliver charismatic performances in their respective roles.
