Toy Story 2

The film begins with a playtime scenario in which Buzz Lightyear (voiced by Tim Allen) and the other toys, led by Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks), embark on a rescue mission to save another toy from the clutches of the evil Emperor Zurg. However, the playtime scene turns out to be part of a video game being played by Andy, the toys’ owner.

Meanwhile, Woody accidentally gets damaged during a playtime session and is left on the shelf. However, during a yard sale, Woody is stolen by a greedy toy collector named Al McWhiggin, who plans to sell him to a museum in Japan. Woody discovers that he is a rare collectible from a 1950s TV show called “Woody’s Roundup.”

Buzz and the other toys, including Jessie the cowgirl (voiced by Joan Cusack), Bullseye the horse, and Stinky Pete the Prospector (voiced by Kelsey Grammer), embark on a daring rescue mission to save Woody from Al’s penthouse apartment.

Meanwhile, Woody is introduced to the other members of his TV show cast and begins to consider the idea of being preserved in a museum rather than returning to Andy. However, he soon realizes the importance of being loved and played with by a child.

As Buzz and the other toys infiltrate Al’s Toy Barn, they encounter a variety of obstacles and challenges, including Buzz Lightyear action figures who believe they are the real Buzz. Eventually, they reach Al’s apartment and confront him, demanding Woody’s release.

During the confrontation, Woody must make a difficult choice between returning to Andy or staying with his newfound friends from the TV show. Ultimately, Woody chooses to return to Andy, realizing that being loved by a child is more important than fame and fortune.

In the end, Woody and the other toys make a narrow escape from Al’s apartment and return home to Andy, where they are welcomed back with open arms. Woody reaffirms his loyalty to Andy and his friends, and they all rejoice in their reunion.
