Doug Harris (Josh Gad) is a socially awkward groom-to-be who lacks close friends. With his wedding approaching, Doug hires Jimmy Callahan (Kevin Hart), the owner of a best man-for-hire service, to be his best man and assemble a group of groomsmen. The goal is to convince Doug’s fiancée and her family that he has a thriving social life.
