The ending of the Netflix movie “The Strays” sees the main character, Neve/Cheryl, abandoning her family once again. This time, she leaves all four of her children behind, making them the titular strays. The children are left standing together, aghast and abandoned, as they listen to the sound of a motorbike driving away, which signifies Neve/Cheryl fleeing the scene and her responsibilities.
