The Departed

In the climax of the film, the intricate web of deception and betrayal among the characters finally unravels in a shocking and violent conclusion.

Throughout the movie, two men, Colin Sullivan (played by Matt Damon) and Billy Costigan (played by Leonardo DiCaprio), find themselves on opposite sides of the law. Sullivan is a mole within the Massachusetts State Police, secretly working for mob boss Frank Costello (played by Jack Nicholson), while Costigan is an undercover cop infiltrating Costello’s criminal organization.
