When Emma seeks assistance from her handler Raj in Berlin, Dave is approached by Gwen Carver, who claims to be part of an international task force hunting down Emma, revealing her true identity as an assassin named Anna Peller.
After Gwen’s revelation, Dave discovers Emma’s secret assassin stash in their house, leading him to Berlin where he reunites with Emma after Raj’s death at the hands of Sovereign agents.
Emma confesses to Dave that Gwen spoke the truth—her real name is Anna and she was trained as an assassin by Gwen, the leader of Sovereign, a private security company founded by Anna’s father. Feeling manipulated by Gwen, Anna explains that meeting Dave prompted her desire for a new life as Emma.
Despite Anna’s resolve to leave her past behind, Sovereign agents capture Anna and Dave, taking them to Gwen’s home in Berlin where their children are held captive. Gwen demands Anna’s return to Sovereign and orders Anna to kill Dave to resolve the situation.
Refusing to comply, Anna stages an elaborate ruse, appearing to shoot Dave before incapacitating the Sovereign agents. In a final confrontation, Anna confronts Gwen in the woods and ultimately spares her life, choosing to leave her to her fate.
Reuniting with her family, Anna resolves to start anew, leading them to an undisclosed location to rebuild their lives, marking the end of their tumultuous journey.
