In the climax of “Norbit,” Norbit Rice (played by Eddie Murphy) stands up to his overbearing wife, Rasputia Latimore (also played by Eddie Murphy), and her brothers, the Latimore brothers, to save his childhood sweetheart, Kate Thomas (played by Thandie Newton), from a forced marriage.
