The film begins with a young boy named Raizo witnessing the brutal murder of his friend by members of the Ozunu Clan, a secret society of ninjas. Taken in by Lord Ozunu (played by Sho Kosugi), the leader of the clan, Raizo is trained as a skilled assassin and becomes one of their deadliest warriors.
