The story begins with Aileen Wuornos, a troubled woman working as a prostitute on the highways of Florida. Despite her harsh exterior, Aileen longs for love and connection but finds herself trapped in a cycle of abuse, addiction, and despair. After encountering a young woman named Selby Wall (played by Christina Ricci) at a bar, Aileen forms a romantic relationship with her, offering her a glimpse of hope and happiness.
