Finestkind

In a dramatic turn of events, Eldridge takes matters into his own hands when he learns of Tom and Charlie’s heroin debt to Pete, who ends up dead in the Finestkind coffee shop. With a terminal cancer diagnosis, Eldridge walks into the shop, revealing himself as Tom’s father, and pleads with Pete to spare his son. Offering his life savings in a brown paper bag, Eldridge faces rejection and escalating tension. When Pete refuses and turns violent, Eldridge, in an act of self-defense, shoots him twice, ultimately ending Pete’s life. As Tom and Charlie rush in, Eldridge reflects on the market price of clams. In a surprising twist, Charlie defers law school to assist Tom, seeking a loan from his father Gary. Initially reluctant, Gary not only grants the loan but also provides support with a business plan, insisting that Charlie takes him everywhere. The movie concludes with the crew and Mabel disrupting a prison transport at the bridge, expressing gratitude and respect to Eldridge over the ship speaker.
