Dracula 2000

The film begins with a group of thieves breaking into a vault in London to steal an ancient relic. Unbeknownst to them, the vault contains the remains of Count Dracula (played by Gerard Butler), who has been entombed for centuries. When the thieves inadvertently release Dracula from his coffin, he awakens and slaughters them, leaving only one survivor named Solina (played by Jennifer Esposito).

Meanwhile, in New Orleans, a mysterious man named Abraham Van Helsing (played by Christopher Plummer) is revealed to be the keeper of Dracula’s secret and the leader of a group dedicated to hunting and destroying the vampire. Van Helsing learns of Dracula’s escape and sets out to track him down before he can unleash his reign of terror on the world.

The story then shifts to Mary Heller (played by Justine Waddell), a young woman living in New Orleans who is haunted by disturbing dreams and visions of Dracula. Mary’s past is shrouded in mystery, and she begins to suspect that there is more to her heritage than meets the eye.

As Dracula arrives in New Orleans, he becomes fixated on Mary and sets out to claim her as his own. With the help of a group of vampire hunters led by Van Helsing’s apprentice, Simon Sheppard (played by Jonny Lee Miller), Mary must confront her destiny and vanquish Dracula once and for all.

In a climactic showdown, Mary and her allies confront Dracula in a final battle to save humanity from his evil influence. With the aid of a powerful weapon forged from the cross of Jesus Christ, Mary delivers the killing blow to Dracula, defeating him and saving the world from his reign of terror.

As the dust settles, Mary learns the truth about her ancestry and embraces her role as a vampire hunter. With Dracula vanquished and peace restored, Mary and her companions vow to continue their mission of protecting humanity from the forces of darkness.
