The film revolves around a covert operation gone wrong involving the theft of nuclear weapons, leading to a tense game of cat and mouse between two former Air Force pilots.
Major Vic Deakins (played by John Travolta) and Captain Riley Hale (played by Christian Slater) are assigned to transport a pair of live nuclear warheads on a routine flight over the Nevada desert.
