The film follows the story of Miles Logan (played by Martin Lawrence), a skilled jewel thief who hides a valuable diamond in the air duct of a construction site before being arrested by police. Two years later, upon his release from prison, Miles discovers that the construction site is now the headquarters of the LAPD.
