Alvin Sanders (played by Jamie Foxx) is a small-time criminal who gets caught stealing prawns. While in prison, he overhears the details of a $42 million gold heist planned by fellow inmate Bristol (played by Doug Hutchison) and his crew. However, before Alvin can act on this information, Bristol is killed in a prison riot.
Upon his release, Alvin is pursued by both the police and Bristol’s former partners, who believe he knows the whereabouts of the stolen gold. Alvin becomes a pawn in a dangerous game, with both sides trying to use him to recover the loot.
