Atlantis: The Lost Empire

The film begins in 1914, with a young linguist and cartographer named Milo Thatch (voiced by Michael J. Fox) living in Washington, D.C. Milo is passionate about discovering the lost city of Atlantis, a mythical civilization believed to have sunk beneath the ocean thousands of years ago.

One day, Milo receives a mysterious journal from his late grandfather, containing detailed information about the location of Atlantis. Determined to fulfill his grandfather’s dream and prove the existence of the lost city, Milo convinces wealthy eccentric Preston B. Whitmore (voiced by John Mahoney) to finance an expedition to find Atlantis.

Milo joins a diverse team of experts and adventurers, including Commander Rourke (voiced by James Garner), Helga Sinclair (voiced by Claudia Christian), Dr. Joshua Sweet (voiced by Phil Morris), Audrey Ramirez (voiced by Jacqueline Obradors), Vincenzo “Vinny” Santorini (voiced by Don Novello), and Molière (voiced by Corey Burton).

The expedition sets off aboard the submarine Ulysses, embarking on a perilous journey through uncharted waters to reach Atlantis. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles and challenges, including underwater creatures and treacherous terrain.

Upon reaching Atlantis, the team discovers a magnificent and technologically advanced civilization ruled by Queen Kida (voiced by Cree Summer). Kida is fascinated by Milo’s knowledge of her people’s language and history and welcomes the explorers with open arms.

As Milo and his companions explore Atlantis and learn about its culture and history, they uncover dark secrets and hidden agendas within the city. They discover that Atlantis is powered by a mysterious energy source known as the Heart of Atlantis, which has been coveted by outsiders for centuries.

When Commander Rourke reveals his true intentions to steal the Heart of Atlantis and sell it for profit, Milo and his friends must band together to stop him and save the city from destruction. With the help of Kida and the Atlantean people, they embark on a daring rescue mission to reclaim the Heart and restore peace to Atlantis.

In a thrilling climax, Milo confronts Commander Rourke in a dramatic showdown atop a towering crystal structure. With the fate of Atlantis hanging in the balance, Milo must summon all his courage and ingenuity to defeat Rourke and protect the city he has come to love.

In the end, Atlantis is saved from destruction, and Milo decides to stay behind and explore the wonders of the lost city with Kida by his side. As the Ulysses returns to the surface, Milo bids farewell to his friends and embarks on a new adventure in the legendary city of Atlantis.
