Are We There Yet?

The movie follows the story of Nick Persons (played by Ice Cube), a bachelor and successful sports memorabilia collector who finds himself in over his head when he agrees to drive two mischievous children, Lindsey Kingston (played by Aleisha Allen) and Kevin Kingston (played by Philip Bolden), to meet their mother, Suzanne (played by Nia Long), for New Year’s Eve.

Nick, who has a crush on Suzanne, sees this as an opportunity to impress her and win her affections. However, things quickly go awry as the journey becomes increasingly chaotic and disastrous, with Nick and the kids encountering one mishap after another.

As they travel across the country in Nick’s prized Lincoln Navigator, Nick and the kids must overcome numerous obstacles, including car trouble, bad weather, and encounters with eccentric characters. Along the way, they learn valuable lessons about family, friendship, and the importance of working together.

In the climax of the film, Nick and the kids finally reach their destination, only to discover that Suzanne has already left to attend a New Year’s Eve party. Disheartened but determined, Nick and the kids set out to find Suzanne and reunite the family before midnight.

The film concludes with Nick and the kids arriving at the party just in time to catch Suzanne before she leaves. Nick confesses his feelings for Suzanne, and she reciprocates, realizing that he has gone to great lengths to prove his love for her and her children.
