After fleeing for their lives for days, Cassandra entrusts Julia, Anya, and Mattie to the care of Ben Parker and her pregnant sister Mary while she seeks answers in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest.
Earlier in the story, Cassandra learns that her mother, Constance, was conducting spider research in the Amazon when she was fatally shot by Ezequiel, who coveted a unique spider with extraordinary abilities. Despite efforts by the Arañas, a group of super-powered individuals, to save Constance by transferring the spider’s powers to her, only baby Cassandra survives.
Returning to the city, Cassandra witnesses Mary going into labor, prompting a frantic rush to the hospital led by Ben. However, their departure exposes them to surveillance cameras, allowing Ezequiel’s accomplice, Amaria, to track them down.
Upon reaching the Parker residence, Cassandra discovers they are missing and senses imminent danger through a vision. She commandeers an ambulance and heads towards them, only to confront Ezequiel orchestrating a traffic disruption. Cassandra intervenes by crashing the ambulance into him.
Fleeing once again, Cassandra and the girls seek refuge in an abandoned warehouse where she explores her newfound powers. Utilizing her clairvoyance, Cassandra devises an escape plan involving distractions and explosions to evade Ezequiel. However, Ezequiel pursues them relentlessly.
As their situation becomes dire, Cassandra realizes the extent of her powers and splits into multiple versions of herself to rescue her friends and confront Ezequiel. Using her knowledge of the future, Cassandra outmaneuvers Ezequiel, ultimately defeating him by causing a light sign to collapse upon him.
Despite her victory, Cassandra is pulled underwater by the collapsing sign, sustaining injuries that leave her permanently blind. Saved by her friends and revived through CPR, Cassandra regains consciousness in the hospital alongside Mary, who has given birth.
In the aftermath, Cassandra, now confined to a wheelchair and wearing sunglasses, embraces her abilities with newfound confidence. Reflecting on the resilience of her companions, Cassandra envisions their future as Spider-Women – Martha ‘Mattie’ Franklin, Anya Corazón, and Julia Carpenter.
In a glimpse of the future, Cassandra and her friends stand united in their superhero suits, ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead.
