The film follows Samantha Caine (played by Geena Davis), a schoolteacher in a small town who suffers from amnesia and has no memory of her life before the last eight years. Despite her idyllic suburban existence, Samantha is plagued by recurring nightmares and a sense that something is missing from her past.

Everything changes when Samantha is involved in a car accident and begins to experience flashbacks of her former life as a skilled government assassin named Charly Baltimore. As Samantha’s memories start to resurface, she teams up with a private investigator named Mitch Henessey (played by Samuel L. Jackson) to uncover the truth about her past.

As Samantha and Mitch delve deeper into her past, they discover that she was involved in a top-secret government operation and was presumed dead after a botched assignment. Now, Samantha’s former colleagues are hunting her down, believing that she possesses valuable information that could compromise their operations.

As Samantha and Mitch race against time to unravel the mystery of her past, they find themselves targeted by assassins and mercenaries determined to silence them. Along the way, Samantha taps into her dormant assassin skills, using her lethal combat abilities to outsmart and outmaneuver her pursuers.

In the climax of the film, Samantha confronts the mastermind behind the conspiracy, a former government operative named Timothy (played by Craig Bierko), who orchestrated her memory loss and is now plotting a terrorist attack on American soil. With Mitch’s help, Samantha foils Timothy’s plan and saves countless lives.

In the end, Samantha embraces her true identity as Charly Baltimore and reconciles with her past, accepting both the darkness and the heroism within herself. She and Mitch decide to start a new life together, leaving behind the dangers of their past and looking forward to a brighter future.
