Kiss the Girls

The film follows the story of forensic psychologist Dr. Alex Cross (played by Morgan Freeman) as he investigates a series of kidnappings and murders of young women in the North Carolina area. The kidnapper, known as “Casanova,” abducts his victims and keeps them imprisoned in an underground lair, subjecting them to torture and psychological manipulation.

Alex becomes personally involved in the case when his niece, Naomi Cross (played by Gina Ravera), becomes one of Casanova’s victims. Motivated by a desire to rescue his niece and bring the perpetrator to justice, Alex teams up with Detective Nick Ruskin (played by Cary Elwes) of the Durham Police Department to track down the killer.

As Alex delves deeper into the investigation, he discovers a pattern to Casanova’s crimes and begins to unravel the twisted mind of the kidnapper. He realizes that Casanova is not acting alone but is part of a larger network of criminals who are connected to similar cases across the country.

Meanwhile, one of Casanova’s victims, Dr. Kate McTiernan (played by Ashley Judd), manages to escape from captivity and becomes determined to help Alex and Nick catch her abductor. Despite her traumatic ordeal, Kate proves to be a resourceful and courageous ally in the hunt for Casanova.

As the investigation intensifies, Alex and Nick race against time to identify and apprehend Casanova before he claims another victim. Their pursuit leads them to a shocking revelation about the true identity of the kidnapper and the sinister motives behind his crimes.

In a climactic showdown, Alex confronts Casanova in a tense and thrilling confrontation, resulting in a deadly struggle for survival. With the help of Kate and Nick, Alex manages to outsmart and overpower Casanova, bringing an end to his reign of terror and rescuing his niece Naomi.

The film ends with Alex reflecting on the events of the case and the toll it has taken on him personally and professionally. Despite the trauma and tragedy he has witnessed, Alex remains committed to his work as a forensic psychologist and determined to continue fighting for justice.

“Kiss the Girls” is praised for its suspenseful plot, gripping performances, and atmospheric direction. It offers a chilling exploration of the dark and disturbing world of serial killers, as well as a compelling portrayal of the resilience and bravery of its protagonists in the face of evil.
