The film begins with the discovery of an ancient gemstone containing a malevolent Djinn (played by Andrew Divoff) trapped inside. When the gemstone is accidentally unearthed and brought to a museum for examination, the Djinn is released from his prison and begins granting wishes to unsuspecting victims.
As the Djinn sets out to fulfill the wishes of those who awaken him, he cunningly twists their desires into deadly nightmares, wreaking havoc and causing chaos wherever he goes. His ultimate goal is to unleash hell on Earth by opening the gateway to the underworld and unleashing his fellow Djinn upon the world.
The Djinn’s rampage attracts the attention of Alexandra Amberson (played by Tammy Lauren), a young gemologist who becomes determined to stop him before it’s too late. With the help of her friend Josh (played by Tony Crane) and the knowledge of ancient legends, Alexandra learns of the Djinn’s true nature and the danger he poses to humanity.
