The movie begins with a prologue set in 1962, where a military experiment involving a powerful chemical weapon called Elvis is conducted. The experiment goes wrong, resulting in the deaths of several soldiers. To prevent the weapon from falling into the wrong hands, the surviving soldier, Andrew Brynner (played by Peter Firth), decides to hide the weapon in a remote location.
Decades later, in present-day Montana, two men, Tim Mason (played by Skeet Ulrich) and Arlo (played by David Paymer), find themselves unwittingly involved in the aftermath of the failed experiment. They stumble upon a military truck containing the Elvis chemical weapon.
Realizing the danger of the situation, Tim seeks help from an old friend, a local ice cream delivery driver named Arlo (played by Cuba Gooding Jr.). Together, they embark on a frantic journey to transport the chemical weapon to a safe location before it falls into the hands of Brynner and his henchmen.
