The protagonist, Jamal Walker (played by Martin Lawrence), is a slacker working at a medieval theme park called Medieval World. Despite his lack of ambition, Jamal possesses a sharp wit and a talent for improvisation, which he often uses to entertain park visitors.
One day, while cleaning the park’s moat, Jamal discovers a medallion that transports him back in time to medieval England.
