Out Cold

The story is set in Bull Mountain, a small and laid-back ski resort in Alaska, where a group of friends work and live. The resort is owned by the wealthy businessman Ted Muntz (played by Lewis Arquette), who has plans to sell the mountain to a corporate developer, paving the way for upscale condominiums and commercialization.

The protagonist, Rick Rambis (played by Jason London), is a talented snowboarder and the de facto leader of the group. Rick and his friends, including Luke (played by Zach Galifianakis), Anthony (played by Flex Alexander), and Pig Pen (played by Derek Hamilton), spend their days snowboarding, partying, and causing mischief around the mountain.

Their carefree lifestyle is threatened when Ted Muntz announces his plans to sell the resort. Determined to save their beloved mountain, Rick and his friends hatch a plan to sabotage the sale and preserve Bull Mountain’s laid-back atmosphere.

Meanwhile, Rick’s love interest, Jenny (played by A.J. Cook), returns to Bull Mountain after traveling the world, reigniting her romance with Rick. Jenny shares Rick’s passion for snowboarding and his desire to protect Bull Mountain from corporate greed.

As the group prepares to take action, they face obstacles and challenges, including resistance from Ted Muntz and his corporate cronies, as well as internal conflicts within their own ranks. Despite these challenges, Rick and his friends remain determined to save Bull Mountain and preserve their way of life.

In a series of comedic and outrageous escapades, Rick and his friends sabotage the efforts of the corporate developers and rally the support of the local community to their cause. They stage elaborate pranks, organize protests, and even compete in a snowboarding competition to raise awareness and funds for their campaign.

In the end, Rick and his friends succeed in thwarting the corporate takeover and saving Bull Mountain from destruction. With the help of Jenny and the support of the local community, they convince Ted Muntz to reconsider his plans and instead invest in the resort’s future.

“Out Cold” is a lighthearted and irreverent comedy that celebrates friendship, adventure, and the pursuit of freedom. Through its humor, action-packed snowboarding scenes, and colorful characters, the film captures the spirit of rebellion and camaraderie that defines the snowboarding subculture.
