The story takes place in a world where vampires and humans coexist, with Blade (Wesley Snipes), a half-vampire, half-human hybrid known as the Daywalker, continuing his mission to hunt down and destroy vampires. When a new breed of vampire, known as the Reapers, emerges and begins preying on both humans and vampires alike, Blade is reluctantly forced to ally himself with his sworn enemies, the vampire elite known as the Bloodpack, led by the formidable Reinhardt (Ron Perlman).
