The story begins with master thief Charlie Croker (played by Mark Wahlberg) assembling a team of skilled criminals for a major heist in Venice, Italy. The plan is to steal $35 million worth of gold bullion from a heavily guarded safe in Venice and make their escape in a fleet of Mini Cooper cars.
