Under the Tuscan Sun

The story follows Frances Mayes, a successful writer who is devastated when she discovers that her husband is cheating on her. In the midst of her divorce, Frances decides to take a trip to Tuscany with her best friend Patti (played by Sandra Oh), hoping to find solace and inspiration in the beautiful Italian countryside.

While exploring the picturesque landscapes of Tuscany, Frances impulsively buys a dilapidated villa on a whim. Determined to renovate the villa and start anew, Frances throws herself into the project, despite the skepticism of her friends and family back home.
