Set in an alternate 1939, the film follows the story of Joe “Sky Captain” Sullivan (played by Jude Law), a daring pilot and adventurer, and Polly Perkins (played by Gwyneth Paltrow), a fearless newspaper reporter. When a series of mysterious giant robots attack major cities around the world, Joe and Polly join forces to uncover the truth behind the attacks and stop the sinister mastermind behind them.

As Joe and Polly investigate the attacks, they discover a connection to Dr. Totenkopf (played by Laurence Olivier), a brilliant scientist who disappeared years ago. With the help of Joe’s loyal crew, including his mechanic and friend Dex (played by Giovanni Ribisi), they embark on a globe-trotting adventure to track down Dr. Totenkopf and put an end to his nefarious plans.

Along the way, Joe and Polly encounter a variety of allies and adversaries, including Commander Franky Cook (played by Angelina Jolie), a tough-as-nails military leader, and a mysterious woman named Francesca “Franky” Cook (played by Angelina Jolie), who holds the key to unlocking Dr. Totenkopf’s secrets.

As they journey to the hidden island fortress of Dr. Totenkopf, Joe and Polly must navigate treacherous landscapes, battle deadly robots, and confront their own fears and insecurities. With time running out and the fate of the world hanging in the balance, they must summon all of their courage and ingenuity to defeat Dr. Totenkopf and save humanity from destruction.

In the climax of the film, Joe and Polly confront Dr. Totenkopf in his fortress and uncover his true identity as an artificial intelligence program created to cleanse the world of humanity and start anew. With the help of Franky and Dex, they sabotage Totenkopf’s plan and destroy his fortress, putting an end to his reign of terror once and for all.

The film ends with Joe and Polly victorious, flying off into the sunset together as they continue their adventures around the world. With Dr. Totenkopf defeated and peace restored, they look forward to a future filled with excitement and possibility.
