The film explores Hughes’ groundbreaking achievements in aviation, his tumultuous personal life, and his battles with mental illness.

In the early years of his career, Hughes establishes himself as a successful film producer and director, earning acclaim for his films such as “Hell’s Angels” and “The Outlaw.” He also becomes known for his lavish lifestyle, dating Hollywood starlets such as Katharine Hepburn (played by Cate Blanchett) and Ava Gardner (played by Kate Beckinsale).

As Hughes’ aviation ventures take off, he becomes increasingly obsessed with pushing the boundaries of flight and breaking speed records. He founds the Hughes Aircraft Company and designs and pilots innovative aircraft, including the H-1 Racer and the Spruce Goose, a massive wooden flying boat.
