Fracture

In the climax of the film, Willy Beachum (played by Ryan Gosling), a young assistant district attorney, finally outsmarts and apprehends Ted Crawford (played by Anthony Hopkins), a wealthy engineer who meticulously planned and executed the perfect murder of his unfaithful wife, Jennifer (played by Embeth Davidtz).

Throughout the movie, Willy finds himself engaged in a battle of wits with Ted, who represents himself in court after being charged with attempted murder. Despite the overwhelming evidence against him, Ted manages to manipulate the legal system and cast doubt on the prosecution’s case.
