The Water Horse

In the climax of the film, Angus MacMorrow (played by Alex Etel) and his family say goodbye to Crusoe, the Water Horse, as he returns to the loch after revealing his true form as the Loch Ness Monster.

Throughout the movie, Angus discovers a mysterious egg on the beach near his home in Scotland, which hatches into a creature he names Crusoe. Over time, Crusoe grows into a large and powerful creature, known as the Water Horse, and forms a bond with Angus.

As Crusoe’s presence becomes more difficult to conceal, the British Army arrives to investigate reports of a sea monster in the loch. Angus and his family work to protect Crusoe from harm while also trying to find a way to return him safely to his natural habitat.

In the final moments of the film, Angus and his family construct a makeshift raft to help Crusoe return to the safety of the loch. As they say their goodbyes, Angus releases Crusoe into the water, and he swims away into the depths of the loch.

The film ends with Angus watching Crusoe disappear beneath the surface of the water, knowing that their time together has come to an end but grateful for the incredible adventure they shared.

Overall, the ending of “The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep” is a bittersweet conclusion to the story, as Angus must say goodbye to his beloved friend Crusoe but takes comfort in knowing that he has returned to his natural habitat where he belongs.
