The film begins with an introduction to the G.I. Joe team, an elite military unit comprised of highly skilled operatives from around the world. Led by General Hawk (Dennis Quaid), the team’s mission is to combat the terrorist organization known as Cobra, led by the ruthless Cobra Commander (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and his second-in-command, Destro (Christopher Eccleston).
