The film begins with Cliff and Cydney, a newlywed couple, arriving in Hawaii for their honeymoon. They plan to hike to a secluded beach on the Na Pali Coast, a remote and rugged area known for its natural beauty. Along the way, they meet two other couples, Nick and Gina, and Kale and Cleo, who also seem to be vacationing on the island.
As they continue their journey, Cliff and Cydney hear news of a recent double murder on the island, and tensions rise as they become suspicious of the other couples they encounter. Nick, an ex-military man, seems particularly intimidating, leading Cliff and Cydney to wonder if he could be the killer.
The group eventually splits up, with Cliff and Cydney continuing on their hike while Nick and Gina offer to give Kale and Cleo a ride to the next town. However, Cliff becomes increasingly paranoid and decides to investigate further, suspecting that one of the couples may be the murderers.
