Dark Skies

As the narrative unfolds, the Barrett family, consisting of Daniel (Josh Hamilton), Lacy (Keri Russell), and their two sons, Jesse and Sam, starts experiencing disturbing events in their home. These events escalate, including instances of sleepwalking, unexplained bruises, and bizarre symbols appearing on their bodies.

In the climax, the family seeks the help of a specialist, Edwin Pollard (J.K. Simmons), who reveals that they are being targeted by a malevolent extraterrestrial force. The beings, known as “The Greys,” are conducting experiments and have chosen the Barrett family for their sinister agenda.

In the resolution, the family tries to protect their youngest son, Sam, who has been marked by the extraterrestrials. The Barretts face a series of escalating and terrifying encounters with the alien entities, leading to a climactic confrontation within their home.

The film concludes with a twist, revealing that Sam has been taken by the extraterrestrials, and a new family moves into the Barrett house, unknowingly becoming the next targets. The closing scenes suggest that the cycle of abduction and torment will continue.

“Dark Skies” received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising its atmosphere and tension but others criticizing the familiar tropes in alien abduction stories. The film explores themes of paranoia, fear of the unknown, and the vulnerability of the family unit in the face of supernatural threats.
