Oblivion

As the narrative unfolds, Jack Harper discovers the truth about his identity and the actual state of the Earth. He learns that he is a clone created by an extraterrestrial force known as the Tet, which is an alien intelligence harvesting Earth’s resources. The Tet has been using the clones, including Jack, to repair drones and protect the resource-gathering operation.

In the climax, Jack confronts the Tet and its enforcer, another clone of himself. With the help of a resistance group led by Malcolm Beech (Morgan Freeman) and his second-in-command Sykes (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Jack devises a plan to destroy the Tet. He uses a nuclear bomb to penetrate the Tet’s defenses.

In the resolution, Jack successfully destroys the Tet, sacrificing himself in the process. However, his consciousness is transferred to a clone body located in a remote cabin, where he is discovered by Julia (Olga Kurylenko), a woman from his past life on Earth. The film ends with Jack and Julia reuniting, hinting at the possibility of humanity rebuilding on Earth without the interference of the Tet.

“Oblivion” received mixed reviews from critics, with praise for its visuals and criticisms of its somewhat derivative storyline. The film explores themes of identity, sacrifice, and the consequences of unchecked technological advancement in a post-apocalyptic setting.
