The story follows Percy Jackson (played by Logan Lerman), the demigod son of Poseidon, as he embarks on a quest to retrieve the Golden Fleece in order to save his summer camp, Camp Half-Blood. The camp is under threat from the resurrected Titan, Kronos.
Percy is joined by his friends Annabeth Chase (played by Alexandra Daddario), Grover Underwood (played by Brandon T. Jackson), and his newly-discovered half-brother Tyson (played by Douglas Smith), who is a Cyclops. Together, they set sail to the Sea of Monsters, also known as the Bermuda Triangle, where the Golden Fleece is said to be located.
Throughout their journey, the group encounters various mythical creatures, including the Cyclops Polyphemus and the sorceress Circe. They also face challenges that test their strengths and loyalties. Meanwhile, Luke Castellan (played by Jake Abel), a demigod with a vendetta against the Olympian gods, is orchestrating a plan to revive Kronos.
