As Devereaux and Mason attempt to extract Fournier, they become targets themselves. The mission takes a dark turn when Devereaux realizes that he has been set up. Mason, his protégé, is ordered to eliminate him, but Devereaux manages to escape, leaving Mason conflicted.

The story unfolds in a series of flashbacks, revealing the complex history between Devereaux and Mason. Devereaux is determined to uncover the truth and protect Fournier, who possesses information that could expose a high-level conspiracy within the CIA.

As the cat-and-mouse game intensifies, Devereaux navigates a treacherous landscape of deception and betrayal. The film explores themes of loyalty, morality, and the consequences of a life lived in the shadows.
