Horrible Bosses 2

The film follows Nick Hendricks (Jason Bateman), Kurt Buckman (Jason Sudeikis), and Dale Arbus (Charlie Day), who, after the events of the first film, decide to start their own business by manufacturing and selling a new product called the “Shower Buddy.” However, they face financial troubles when an unscrupulous investor, Bert Hanson (Christoph Waltz), cancels a large order, putting their company at risk of bankruptcy.

Feeling desperate, the trio comes up with a plan to kidnap Bert’s son, Rex (Chris Pine), and ransom him for the money they need to save their business. Unbeknownst to them, Rex is actually in on the plan, as he despises his father. The situation becomes even more complicated when the guys accidentally kill Bert during an attempted rescue.

The climax involves a series of comedic misadventures as Nick, Kurt, and Dale try to navigate the aftermath of the kidnapping and accidental murder. They are pursued by both the police and a criminal, Dave Harken (Kevin Spacey), who is seeking revenge for events in the first film.

In a surprising twist, it is revealed that Bert faked his death to frame his son for his murder, allowing Bert to escape with the Shower Buddy profits. In the end, the guys are exonerated, and they decide to continue their entrepreneurial pursuits with a new invention, the “Car Shower.”

“Horrible Bosses 2” received mixed reviews, with praise for the performances of the cast but criticism for the formulaic plot. The film maintains the dark humor and absurdity of its predecessor while exploring new comedic scenarios for the characters.
