The story is set during World War II, where a group of schoolchildren, along with their teachers Eve (Phoebe Fox) and Jean (Helen McCrory), are evacuated from London to the Eel Marsh House, which has been abandoned for years. They seek refuge from the bombings, unaware of the house’s dark history.
As the characters settle into the eerie mansion, strange and supernatural occurrences begin to unfold. Eve, haunted by her own traumatic past, becomes increasingly concerned about the safety of the children. The ghostly Woman in Black makes her presence known, targeting the evacuated children.
In the climax, the characters face a desperate struggle to survive as the malevolent force seeks to claim the souls of the children. The film delves into the backstory of the Woman in Black and her connection to the tragedies that occurred in Eel Marsh House.
While “The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death” received mixed reviews from critics, it continues the atmospheric and suspenseful tone established in the first film, exploring themes of grief, loss, and supernatural vengeance.
