The story revolves around Raghu (played by Varun Dhawan), whose life takes a dark turn after a bank robbery results in the death of his wife, Misha (played by Yami Gautam), and his son. Liak (played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui), one of the culprits involved in the robbery, gets arrested.
Raghu, consumed by grief and seeking revenge, becomes obsessed with the idea of bringing the culprits to justice. Liak, sentenced to 20 years in prison, refuses to reveal the name of his partner, causing frustration for Raghu.
As years pass, Liak’s health deteriorates, and he reveals that his partner was Harman (played by Vinay Pathak). Raghu then targets Harman’s family, kidnapping his wife Jhimli (played by Huma Qureshi) and coercing Harman into revealing the whereabouts of his son.
In a shocking twist, it’s revealed that Liak was innocent, and the real culprit was Harman, who had framed Liak. Liak succumbs to his injuries before Raghu can realize the truth.
The film concludes with Raghu realizing the consequences of his actions and the impact on innocent lives. It explores themes of revenge, justice, and the blurred lines between good and evil.
