“Knock at the Cabin” ends with a tense and emotional resolution. After a series of violent events, the film concludes with the family making the ultimate sacrifice to prevent the apocalypse. The strangers who have been holding them hostage claim that the death of young Wen doesn’t count towards their demand for a sacrifice. In the end, Wen’s fathers, Andrew and Eric, are faced with an impossible choice. Andrew decides to sacrifice himself, believing it’s the only way to save the world. His death appears to stop the apocalyptic events, and the movie concludes with Eric and Wen surviving, left to cope with their loss and the aftermath of their ordeal
