A Little White Lie

The ending of “A Little White Lie” reveals the true identity of the real Shriver. Throughout the movie, a handyman (played by Michael Shannon) is mistaken for a reclusive, famous author named Shriver and is invited to a literary festival. The handyman decides to play along with the misunderstanding. In the end, the real Shriver appears, and the handyman’s deception is uncovered. Despite this revelation, the film concludes with the handyman being accepted for who he truly is, rather than the false identity he’s been portraying. The movie wraps up with themes of identity, truth, and the consequences of our actions
